Building and Achieving Success in Idaho Chapters

As the 2020-2021 school year begins, we have an excellent opportunity for chapter officers. Our first virtual, statewide Building & Achieving Success in Idaho Chapters (BASIC) training will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. MDT on Monday, Oct. 19.

This leadership conference is designed to train your chapter officers to be influential leaders in their schools, communities, and state. State officers will facilitate individual organization sessions, and Greg Sommers of The Core Project will be our keynote speaker.

Here’s the agenda at-a-glance:

  • 9-9:30 a.m.: Opening session
  • 9:30 a.m. to noon: Keynote – Students
  • 10:00 a.m. to noon: Advisor Breakouts
  • Noon to 12:30 p.m.: Lunch
  • 12:30-2:30 p.m.: CTSO breakout sessions
  • 2:30-3 p.m.: Closing session

New leadership material will be released on our virtual platform every week from Oct. 20 to Nov. 23, and all content will be available until Dec. 1.

Chapter officers from all seven CTSOs (BPA, DECA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, TSA, and SkillsUSA) are welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is open now through 5 p.m. MDT Oct. 18 and is $15 with a T-shirt and $5 without a T-shirt.
